Thanks to the trust and attractiveness that the Kimball Electronics corporate saw in Mexico, the company continued to grow in this country. In addition, it was necessary to increase the capacity of the plant facilities, which is why they built a second building that allows the company to grow.

Now, it is time to celebrate and after having completed the construction of the second operations plant in Reynosa, the company Kimball Electronic s will officially hold the official opening ceremony, which will be attended by corporate executives, local authorities and special guests.

In this second plant, 400 jobs have already been generated, although the goal is to create 1,500 in the long term; In addition, the investment made of 46 million dollars stands out.

Currently, Kimball Electronics has an area of ​​227,000 square feet, of which 147,000 are dedicated to manufacturing. The expansion added 240,000 square feet to the presence in this city.

 KIMBALL ELECTRONICS IN REYNOSA

Kimball Electronics is a company originally from Jasper, Indiana, established for 50 years in Reynosa, Tamaulipas. This company is dedicated to the manufacture of electronic assemblies for the automotive, medical, industrial and public safety markets.

Kimball Electronics México, SA de CV began operations in October 1972 in Reynosa, Tamaulipas; back then it was known as Kimco and they were dedicated to making grand pianos.

By the early 1980s, electronics were beginning to have more of a presence in the market, so Kimball's production moved, and from manufacturing pianos they began to produce electronic harnesses for this instrument. 

In addition, with the arrival of electronics, they directed the business towards the automotive sector and the piano was left alone as part of the company's history.

The Reynosa plant is the largest and is the one with the longest presence in the city. Globally, Kimball has a presence in Asia, Europe and North America. There are three plants in the US; one in Jasper, where the corporate is located; another in Indianapolis, capital of Indiana; and one more in Tampa, Florida.

In Asia, Kimball Electronics has a presence in China and Thailand. Two plants are located in Europe, in Poland and Romania.
