Why Invest in Laredo Region

The Laredo Region represents one of the most dynamic and strategic binational economic corridors in North America, integrating Laredo, Texas, and Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas into a unified platform for international trade, industrial development, and nearshoring growth. Together, these two cities form a deeply interconnected cross-border region where infrastructure, logistics, and industry operate as a single ecosystem.

At the core of this integration is the Port of Laredo, the most active land port for trade between Mexico and the United States and the third-ranked port of entry among all U.S. ports, while holding the number one position among border crossings. As of December 2025, the port recorded $27.03 billion in trade, with Mexico accounting for 97.07% of total commercial exchange, underscoring the region’s critical role in North American supply chains.
