DSV is expanding its presence along the U.S.–Mexico border with the opening of a new office in McAllen, Texas, strengthening its capabilities to support companies engaged in cross-border trade and regional supply chain strength.
Located at 701 E. Expressway 83, Suite 110 in McAllen, the new office was officially inaugurated during an event attended by DSV representatives and industry partners. The facility will serve as an additional point of support for companies requiring transportation, logistics, and cross-border services between Mexico and the United States.
Linda Alanis, Branch Manager for McAllen and Brownsville at DSV, said the project began approximately one year ago and represents an important addition to the company's operations in the region.
“We are very excited today. Approximately one year after expanding along the border, we are proud to celebrate the opening of our new McAllen office, a testament to our continued growth in the region,” Alanis said.
The McAllen office further strengthens DSV’s border presence, complementing operations in Laredo, Brownsville, El Paso, and Los Indios, Texas, and San Diego, California. Together, these locations help facilitate cross-border trade while connecting clients to DSV’s global network of more than 90 countries worldwide.
Strengthening cross-border connectivity
McAllen’s strategic location makes the new office an important component of DSV’s cross-border logistics capabilities.
Edgar Gutiérrez, Sales Manager for DSV in Mexico, highlighted the importance of cross-border operations for the company, particularly as manufacturers and other businesses continue to develop supply chains connecting Mexico with the U.S. market.
“Cross-border is an important area for DSV,” Gutiérrez said.
He explained that the region can support the movement of finished products destined for the United States, as well as goods originating in markets such as Asia and Europe that are incorporated into supply chains serving Mexico.
The new office also complements DSV’s operations in northern Tamaulipas and other regions of Mexico, particularly in support of companies within the maquiladora industry.
DSV serves multiple industries, including automotive, consumer, healthcare, technology, industrial, and aerospace & defense, providing logistics solutions tailored to each client's requirements.
“Our clients benefit from a truly end-to-end solution. By combining transportation, customs expertise, warehousing, and distribution within one global network, DSV can move goods efficiently across borders and deliver them reliably to their final destination,” Gutiérrez said.
Through its integrated business divisions, DSV delivers end-to-end logistics solutions by combining ground, air, and ocean transportation, customs clearance, warehousing, and supply chain management within a single global network.
Experience supporting evolving supply chains
The expansion comes as companies continue to adapt their supply chains to changing markets and an evolving international trade environment.
Alanis noted that changes in markets can affect different points across the supply chain. In this environment, she said DSV’s experience and global capabilities allow the company to continue supporting customers and maintaining operational continuity.
“Decades of experience navigating complex supply chains have taught us how to anticipate challenges, adapt quickly, and keep freight moving. Our clients trust us because we simplify complexity, allowing them to focus on their business while we manage the logistics behind it”.
During the inauguration, Christine Clermont, Vice President of DSV’s Gulf Region, also highlighted the vision and work behind the new location.
Clermont emphasized that DSV does not open offices for the sake of expansion alone. Each location is established with a clear purpose: to be where clients need the company most and to support growing trade corridors. The McAllen office reflects DSV's commitment to investing in markets where it can create meaningful value for clients and the communities it serves.
With the new McAllen office, DSV is expanding its infrastructure in the Rio Grande Valley and strengthening the connection between its U.S. and Mexican operations. The new location positions the company to continue supporting manufacturers, retailers, and other businesses as cross-border trade generates new logistics and supply chain opportunities across the region.
