The industrial sector has shown a great rebound in
the recent three years on the border area and specially in Matamoros, which has
been one of the most benefited cities regarding new jobs generation.
Juan Villafuerte Morales, union
leader of SIJOIIM, assured that, during 2019, Matamoros will have a good growth
in maquila industry, which will be reflected in the generation of more jobs.
During 2019 new projects
will arrive to Matamoros, which will not only consolidate the growth of the
automotive industry, but that will be addressed to other sectors such as energy
and aerospace, which are new areas in the city and that will generate
attracting more foreign companies to the border, he said that the intention of
some investors is to come and know the city, and know what is that the city
offers for them to settle.
“During 2018, about 8
thousand new jobs were generated, what generated an economic and labor stability
environment in the entity, without doubt it was a very favorable year, as well
as 2019 will be,” said Juan Villafuerte Morales union leader of SIJOIIM.
In recent years this industrial
sector has growth constantly, producing benefits for the working class of
Matamoros, since there are more job sources.
Expectations for 2019 are Good since the
establishment of new companies is expected as well as the expansion of some growing
plants.
“Matamoros has a highly qualified workforce
and this is a great advantage, due to assembly and manufacturing quality is
recognized worldwide by industrials, from there capitals opt to invest in the
city,” assured the union leader Juan Villafuerte Morales.
