The company, which serves the multifamily housing and hospitality sectors, has built a growing manufacturing platform supported by a strategically located industrial campus in Weslaco.
Kapal Industries Expands Production Capacity
Kapal operates a 150,000-square-foot manufacturing facility located within an industrial zone in Weslaco. The campus supports a variety of production activities, including cabinetry and quartz surface fabrication for residential and hospitality projects.
The facility currently operates three cabinet production lines capable of producing up to 150,000 cabinets annually, as well as two quartz countertop production lines with an annual capacity of approximately 40,000 kitchen and bath surfaces.
Supporting its distribution operations, the campus also includes nine loading docks dedicated to outbound shipping, allowing the company to efficiently serve customers across multiple markets.
Scaling Operations and Preparing for New Capabilities
As part of its growth strategy, Kapal Industries is continuing to strengthen its manufacturing platform while preparing for additional expansion. The company has announced plans for a metal works manufacturing plant scheduled for development in 2026, a move that will broaden its production capabilities and support future growth.
The expansion reflects the company’s focus on scaling operations with greater efficiency while reinforcing its operational foundation.
Local Manufacturing Driving Regional Growth
The continued growth of companies like Kapal Industries highlights the importance of locally based manufacturers within the regional economy. Businesses that expand production capacity contribute not only to job creation but also to the strengthening of industrial activity across the Rio Grande Valley.
For communities such as Weslaco, supporting the growth of existing companies remains an important component of economic development strategies.
As Kapal Industries advances its next phase of expansion, its presence reinforces the role of South Texas as a location where companies can scale operations, serve multiple markets, and continue building long-term manufacturing capabilities.
