VivaTech 2025: COSTEP to Showcase the Rio South Texas Region and Its Innovation Potential at Europe’s Leading Tech Event

The Rio South Texas Region is set to take the global stage as it participates in Viva Technology 2025, Europe’s premier tech and innovation event, taking place June 11–14 in Paris, France. The region will focus on promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in high-growth sectors such as aerospace, electronics, and medical devices.

The effort is spearheaded by the COSTEP, Council for South Texas Economic Progress , which aims to position the region as a competitive destination for advanced manufacturing and high-tech industries.

“Our main goal is to promote Rio South Texas as a prime location for high-tech companies, including those in aerospace, electronics, and medical device manufacturing,” said Adam Gonzalez, CEO of COSTEP. “We want to connect with companies looking to expand or relocate operations to the United States—particularly Texas.”

“We need to consistently raise awareness about the region. Many in Europe are still unaware of the unique competitive advantages we offer,” Gonzalez added. “Our mission is to spotlight our region’s assets and capabilities, and support companies interested in exploring opportunities here.”

During the four-day event, COSTEP will engage directly with startups, global tech leaders, and innovation-driven companies.

“We’re already in conversations with the French-American Chamber of Commerce and VivaTech organizers. We’ve been invited to high-level networking sessions where we’ll seek to build strategic relationships with companies targeting North American expansion,” Gonzalez noted.

COSTEP’s international outreach strategy goes beyond visibility—it emphasizes tailored support for potential investors.

“We’re not just promoting the region; we’re committed to guiding companies through the process and connecting them with the key players in Rio South Texas,” said Gonzalez. “Our goal is to make their decision-making process as informed and seamless as possible.”
