As part of efforts to position Brownsville and the state of Texas as a strategic destination for the aerospace industry, the Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation (GBIC) took part in the 2025 International Paris Air Show, one of the most important events in the sector globally.

The participation was in collaboration with the Texas Economic Development Corporation and the Office of the Governor of Texas, led by its executive director, Adriana Cruz.

The Texas delegation included Gilberto Salinas, CEO of GBIC; Marcela Sáenz, marketing director; and Jerry Briones, deputy director, who engaged with global leaders in aerospace and aviation.

During the event, which brings together leading companies and industry players every two years, the delegation presented the competitive advantages of South Texas, highlighting the region’s steady growth, strong logistics infrastructure, skilled talent pool, and attractive tax incentives for tech and manufacturing firms.

Through these efforts, GBIC and its state partners aim to make Texas the most competitive state for launching and expanding high-tech operations, particularly in sectors such as aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing.
