Brownsville, Texas, continues to strengthen its position as a competitive hub for manufacturing investment. The city has been chosen by Superior GHQ INC. as the site of its new manufacturing plant, to be built at the North Brownsville Industrial Park. The project will represent an investment of USD 3–4 million, underscoring Brownsville’s growing role in the advanced manufacturing sector.
The announcement was made by the Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation (GBIC), the agency driving the city’s economic development. Its President and CEO, Gilberto Salinas, emphasized the significance of the decision, noting that it reflects the strength of Brownsville’s workforce, business-friendly environment, and industrial momentum.
Project Scope and Expansion Potential
The new facility will initially cover 15,000 square feet on Lot 3 of Industrial Circle, with the capacity to expand as demand for the company’s products increases. From this site, Superior GHQ will conduct metal fabrication processes serving clients in both the United States and international markets.
Employment Generation and Long-Term Plans
In its first year of operations, Superior GHQ expects to hire 15 to 20 workers. A second phase of growth, projected within two to three years, could add another 10 to 12 jobs. The company is also evaluating the possibility of relocating additional operations to Brownsville, positioning the city as a strategic hub for its long-term expansion plans.
GBIC’s Role in Facilitating Investment
GBIC has supported Superior GHQ throughout the entire process, from site selection and permitting to building connections with local partners that will facilitate operations. With this project, Brownsville reaffirms its role as a competitive destination for advanced manufacturing, supported by an ecosystem that fosters investment, job creation, and infrastructure development.
