The Starr Camargo Bridge has maintained steady growth in cargo flow, positioning itself as a competitive alternative for the transportation and logistics industry in the border region, highlighted Beatriz Castro, Legal Officer of the bridge, during her participation as a speaker at the 2025 Southern Border Conference.
Located between Rio Grande, Texas, and Camargo, Tamaulipas, the international crossing has gained relevance as a strategic point for trade and connectivity between Mexico and the United States, thanks to competitive advantages such as joint customs inspections and the capacity to receive double-trailer or oversized trucks.
Castro explained that events such as the Southern Border Conference provide opportunities to build and strengthen partnerships with companies and organizations to boost international trade, consolidating the Starr Camargo Bridge as a safe, agile, and competitive option.
“The Starr Camargo Bridge has become a safe, agile, and reliable link for international trade. Events like this conference allow us to strengthen partnerships and showcase the key role we play in the economic dynamics of the border,” she said.
In addition, Starr Camargo Bridge’s participation in the conference seeks to foster binational collaboration, promote investment, and highlight the advantages offered by this Tamaulipas–Texas customs crossing.
The Southern Border Conference brought together business leaders, authorities, and international trade specialists to address topics related to the current U.S. trade policy and the challenges of continuing to promote international commerce.
