With a $4.5 million investment, SRS Development has begun construction of a new distribution center in Pharr, Texas, in an event led by the Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC).
The 31,000-square-foot facility will help position Pharr as a regional leader in logistics and international trade. Its strategic location, just minutes from the Pharr International Bridge, will streamline the distribution of goods across the United States and global markets, with projected annual sales exceeding $10 million.
“We are excited to welcome SRS Development’s new distribution center. This project will create jobs, strengthen our economy, and further solidify Pharr’s position as one of the most important trade corridors along the U.S.–Mexico border,” said Víctor Pérez, CEO of Pharr EDC.
The new development, located at 300 Eldora Road, reflects Pharr EDC’s commitment to local economic growth by providing support and incentives to companies investing in the city, fostering job creation, and attracting new capital.
In the same vein, Clayton Hatten, Regional Vice President of SRS Distribution, highlighted:
“Pharr continues to be a hub of innovation, commerce, and workforce development. We are proud to launch a project that will not only drive our company’s growth but also contribute to the prosperity of the region.”
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together business leaders, government officials, and community representatives, who witnessed a project that strengthens Pharr’s role as a strategic hub for logistics and international trade.
