Siddons-Martin Emergency Group celebrated the opening of its new service center located in the North Industrial Park of Edinburg, Texas, creating a significant economic impact in the region.
The modern 12,000-square-foot facility, located at 700 Independence Drive, was developed with an investment of $1.9 million. This new site will offer maintenance and repair services for emergency vehicles, such as fire trucks and ambulances, serving emergency agencies across South Texas, including the counties of Cameron, Willacy, Hidalgo, Starr, Zapata, Jim Hogg, Brooks, and Kenedy.
"Projects like this reaffirm what we already know about our North Industrial Park: its excellent location and accessibility make it ideal for companies with regional operations," said Raudel Garza, Executive Director of the Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EEDC).
The project began in May 2022 with the laying of the foundation stone for the construction of this innovative building. The company also acquired a 3.5-acre plot through an agreement with the EEDC as part of its long-term expansion strategy.
Headquartered in Houston, Siddons-Martin Emergency Group is one of the largest emergency vehicle distributors in the United States. It is the exclusive authorized distributor in Texas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Utah, and Nevada for Pierce Manufacturing fire trucks, in addition to representing other leading manufacturers of ambulances, rescue boats, and specialized equipment.
The relocation of its operations to Edinburg will allow the company to expand its coverage and improve its response time in the region. Siddons-Martin joins a growing group of companies investing in the development of the North Industrial Park, such as RGV Tours, Nicho Produce, RGV CDL, and CIL Logistics.
The opening of this service center reinforces Edinburg's commitment to economic growth, investment attraction, and the strengthening of essential services in South Texas.
