Rio Grande Valley Experts Explore Harlingen's Growth Potential and Competitive Edge

A group of real estate experts, bankers, and representatives from construction and design firms in the Rio Grande Valley visited Harlingen, Texas, to explore the city's diverse investment opportunities, capitalizing on the region's competitive advantages and growth.

Orlando Campos, CEO of the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (Harlingen EDC), highlighted the benefits, success stories, and upcoming projects that promise a stable and expanding business environment during the "Investment and Trade Tour."

At the event, organized by the Rio Grande Valley Partnership (RGV Partnership) in collaboration with Harlingen EDC, Campos emphasized the availability of industrial land, as well as the city’s logistical network, which includes connections to seaports and airports, complemented by an inland port. He also underscored the quality of the local workforce, known for its youthfulness and focus on innovation and new technologies.

Campos further discussed the recent economic growth, the incentives available for businesses choosing to establish in the city, and the close collaboration with local authorities and the private sector to ensure that any investment is successful and business needs are swiftly addressed.

The RGV Partnership focuses on promoting economic development, employment, and investment across the Rio Grande Valley, which includes Starr, Hidalgo, Willacy, and Cameron counties. Harlingen EDC's involvement in this effort strengthens regional collaboration.
