The Rio Grande Valley Angel Network (RGVAN) continues to empower regional innovation with its quarterly Pitch Night, where startup founders present their business ideas before accredited investors. The initiative serves as a bridge between early-stage entrepreneurs seeking funding and investors eager to discover high-potential ventures in South Texas.
“These events provide a platform for startup companies to pitch their ideas to accredited investors,” explained Laurie Simmons, Executive Director of RGVAN. “At the same time, it offers investors access to pre-vetted deals, creating real opportunities for investment and growth.”
Beyond facilitating investment, the Angel Network extends ongoing support and mentorship to entrepreneurs. Through its network of mentors and advisors, RGVAN helps startups refine their presentations and align their proposals with what investors are looking for.
“We’re available to guide them through the process,” Simmons said. “Many are already ready to pitch when they reach us, but we make sure they feel supported every step of the way.”
The organization maintains a strong digital presence, allowing both startups and investors to connect easily. RGVAN can be found on LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook under Rio Grande Valley Angel Network. Simmons encourages interested participants to visit rgvan.org or contact her directly at laurie@rgvan.org for more information.
The Angel Network’s ongoing commitment to nurturing regional entrepreneurship continues to position the Rio Grande Valley as a promising hub for innovation and investment. Through collaboration, mentorship, and opportunity, these quarterly gatherings illuminate the path for the next generation of visionary founders.
