Record in International Trade: Laredo, Texas, Generates $339.3 Billion

The World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas, solidified its position in 2024 as the leading gateway for goods entering the United States, achieving a nearly 6% increase in trade volume, according to data from ustradenumbers.com.

By the end of 2024, exports through the Laredo port reached a total value of $128.26 billion, while imports amounted to $210.77 billion, bringing the total trade volume to $339.3 billion—representing a 5.98% increase compared to 2023.

For the second consecutive year, Mexico remained the United States' top trading partner, setting a record $840 billion in foreign trade in 2024. Canada followed with $761 billion, and China ranked third with $582 billion.

Auto parts, vehicles, and computers were the primary imports into the U.S. through Laredo, Texas, while the top exports included auto parts, fuels, and storage batteries.

According to figures from Mexico’s National Customs Agency, a total of 5,382,380 trade operations were recorded at the World Trade Bridge from January to December 2024.
