The City of Pharr will be part of the RGV Startup Week, a regional event that offers networking opportunities, practical tools, and a platform to boost business development—enabling entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners to connect, learn, and grow.

Organized by Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages, this eight-day series of events will take place across various cities in the Rio Grande Valley. Attendees will have the chance to participate in competitions, workshops, panel discussions, conferences, and networking meetups—all designed to promote innovation, connectivity, and collaboration.

On May 1st, all eyes will be on the City of Pharr, where activities will be hosted at the Global Business Center. The focus will be on international trade, logistics, and cross-border commerce, with sessions tailored for global entrepreneurs, as well as presentations on commercial strategies and logistics operations.

The day's events will begin at 10:30 a.m. with talks led by business owners, leaders, and representatives from economic development organizations. A roundtable discussion on Pharr’s vision for business growth will also take place, culminating at 7:30 p.m. with a social gathering aimed at building partnerships and encouraging networking.

“We’re excited to join this important regional initiative that brings together entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders from across the Valley. Pharr is proud to be a hub for transportation and cross-border trade, home to one of the most important ports of entry in the U.S. We see firsthand how global connections create opportunities. That’s why our programming will focus on helping businesses understand how to access international markets, manage trade, and forge cross-border partnerships,” said Victor Pérez, CEO of Pharr EDC.

RGV Startup Week is an annual celebration offering a full week of educational workshops, networking opportunities, and practical resources. It is a vibrant showcase of the Rio Grande Valley’s unique entrepreneurial culture and spirit, providing a platform for both aspiring and established business owners to learn, connect, and grow.
