The McAllen Economic Development Corporation (McAllen EDC) welcomed representatives from a manufacturing company interested in establishing operations in the region.
As part of the visit, a collaborative session was held at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley’s (UTRGV) Advanced Manufacturing Center, one of the most prominent partners in the region’s innovation, technical training, and applied research ecosystem.
McAllen EDC continues to strengthen its role as a driver of industrial growth in South Texas by actively engaging with potential investors looking to expand into the area.
The visit also showcased the progress and capabilities of local institutions in areas such as workforce training, research, and technology transfer. Among the strategic partners highlighted were South Texas College, Texas A&M, Workforce Solutions, and UTRGV.
Thanks to these partnerships, McAllen offers manufacturing companies a competitive environment supported by a strong labor force, specialized training centers, and innovation resources that facilitate the establishment and expansion of new industrial operations.
With these ongoing efforts, McAllen reaffirms its position as one of the most attractive cities for industrial investment in South Texas and along the U.S.-Mexico border.
