Market absorption and new projects for Reynosa

The McAllen Economic
Development Corporation announced a summary of what has been registered in the
last months of 2018 regarding the projects in market absorption and new
projects with industrial buildings located in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
They underlined that
the good movement that took place during the year was the lease of an
industrial building of the company Delphi Electronicos, which today are located
in a building on the Villa Florida Industrial park; this company includes 214
thousand square feet and the generation of about one thousand jobs.
On the other hand, the
company Woodcrafters acquired an industrial building in the Colonial Industrial
Park, which has an infrastructure of 140 thousand square feet, and additionally
they acquired additional properties land aimed to fulfill – in a long term –
some expansion projects by constructing other industrial buildings.
Ralph Garcia,
vice-president of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation, underlined that
this company in particular observes – also in a long term – the creation of 3
thousand job sources that could be generated.
He added that there are
2.2 million square feet available in the market and that they have the
construction of little more than 350 thousand feet, in which a speculative
building is included.
An observed project
will take 410 thousand square feet and will generate an average of one thousand
jobs.
He also mentioned that
they will continue working with a project from India, project that represents
40 thousand square feet.
“The promotion of the
city continues being strong and in the following months the McAllen Economic
Development Corporation will travel to promote investments by visiting Korea,
Japan and Germany.
Ralph added that they are also working in two projects also in MEDC, which are built to suit observing almost half million square feet.
“Although for the
market to continue progressing is not an easy task, the investment and
investment continues and it really also generates opportunities for businessmen
in Reynosa,” said Ralph Garcia.
