Los Palmares Industrial Park receives a new company with Chinese and European capital

Merit Automotive Electronics Systems, global supplier of modules and mechatronic complex switchers, opened its operation plants in the Palmares Industrial Park in Matamoros, Tamaulipas.
This project is of Chinese and European capital, and their world sales are calculated by 70 billion dollars.
At the official opening ceremony were present high executives from the consortium such as Mr. Zhao Deliang, global director of Merit and Rogelio Casero, general director of operations Merit.
They also presided the opening ceremony Juan Jose de la Garza, plant manager of Merit Matamoros; Jesus Villarreal Canty, representative from the Government of Tamaulipas; Mario Alberto Lopez Hernandez, mayor of Matamoros; Maria del Carmen Cadena Espinosa, president of the Business Coordinator Council; and Marek Klopocky, project director in Mexico.
“This is the opening of an important industrial project for Matamoros and for the Palmares Industrial Park,” said that Rene Gonzalez Rascon, partner and director of Servicios Inmobiliarios para el Desarrollo Exportador (SIDEE) and owner of the Palmares Industrial Park, place where Grupo Merit is located.
Merit has operation plants and offices in Barcelona, Spain; Poland, China, Brazil, Italy, United States, Paris and its new plants in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
Merit started operations in May 2018, but it was until December 7th that officially and with the presence of local, state authorities as well as the directives of the company was held the opening also attended by 600 employees with which the company started.
“It is anticipated that for 2019 there will be an immediate expansion at the facilities, this is positive for the entity,” Rene Gonzalez noted.

Industrial Park welcomes Merit
Merit occupies a facility of 149 thousand 240 square feet at the Palmares Industrial Park, its location is an ideal site for manufacture due to its proximity to four international bridges, four international airports, a deep waters maritime port and a new railroad crossing bridge between Mexico and the United States.
The Industrial Park is additionally located nearby houses, health centers, educational institutions and other first-class industrial areas in Matamoros.

Meanwhile, Juan Jose de la Garza, plant manager at
Merit Matamoros, said that this is a privilege to start operations at a company
like Merit. “It is a plant that will
generate 600 high-quality jobs that will contribute to the local economy of
this city located on a privilege point for being at the border nearby the
United States,” Garza noted.
