Process automation has become a priority for manufacturing companies seeking to increase productivity, reduce errors and improve competitiveness. Under this vision, KEYENCE participated in the South Central Texas Manufacturing Trade Show & Conference, where it presented advanced automation, machine vision and robotics technologies applied to multiple industries.

Cooper Keillor, Sales Engineer at the company, explained that this was KEYENCE’s first participation in the event organized by the San Antonio Manufacturers Association (SAMA).

“We were invited to participate and brought some of our technologies, including robots and industrial automation solutions. It has been a great experience,” he said.

Technology that allows machines to “see”

One of KEYENCE’s main differentiators is its portfolio of technologies focused on automating processes through sensors, machine vision and intelligent systems.

“We have solutions for virtually any type of production automation. From technologies that allow robots to see, to laser sensors that detect distances with high precision,” Keillor explained.

The company also showcased advanced inspection systems and industrial microscopy capable of detecting extremely small details within manufacturing processes.

Solutions for any industry

According to the KEYENCE representative, one of the company’s strengths is the versatility of its technologies.

“We have no restrictions by industry. We can work from bakeries to tire manufacturers, metalworking shops or any company with a process that can be automated,” he said.

This approach allows the company to serve sectors such as food, automotive, general manufacturing, electronics, pharmaceuticals and metalworking.

Automation as an inevitable trend

Keillor highlighted that while some companies are already ready to invest in advanced automation, others are just beginning to explore these solutions.

“Today, many companies approach us to learn about the technology and understand how it can help them. Eventually, every company will have to incorporate automation; that is the trend,” he said.

Innovation for the future of manufacturing

KEYENCE’s participation in the South Central Texas Manufacturing Trade Show & Conference reflects how intelligent automation, robotics and machine vision are redefining modern manufacturing and accelerating industrial transformation in Texas and North America.
