As part of INDEX Reynosa Expo 2025, José Eduardo Martínez McDonald, Rector of the Instituto Internacional de Estudios Superiores (IIES), reaffirmed the institution’s ongoing collaboration with the industrial sector.

Through specialized education and customized training, IIES aims to support companies in their growth, talent development, and adaptation to new industry trends. The rector described the expo as a key meeting point for networking, updating knowledge, and fostering collaboration among educational and industrial leaders in Reynosa.

Long-standing presence and commitment to INDEX Reynosa

Martínez McDonald highlighted IIES’s enduring participation in INDEX events, underscoring the importance of maintaining visibility within the industrial community.

“We’ve been supporting INDEX for many years, and this year was no exception,” he said. “It’s always important for us to have a presence among so many companies and visitors, to show support for such valuable events and greet our clients while presenting our new course offerings.”

Evolution toward an industrial focus

He explained that the institution recently restructured to align more closely with industrial demands.

“Our division focused on the industry was previously called the School of Business,” he shared. “Now it’s the School of High Management and Industrial Development. We gave it a more specific and relevant focus for the industry, creating new programs and anticipating company needs through constant dialogue.”

Collaboration and professional growth

The rector emphasized the role of continuous training in sustaining industrial progress.

“All companies need to keep preparing their people,” he noted. “We help them with programs that are up to date and cutting-edge, so they can continue developing. This also helps promote the region—showing that we have institutions capable of training talent, which attracts new investment.”

Tailor-made programs as a key advantage

A distinctive element of IIES’s educational model is the creation of customized programs based on the specific needs of each company.

“One of IIES’s great values is the ability to make training ‘traje a la medida,’” Martínez McDonald explained. “Every company is different, but often their needs overlap, so we adapt programs accordingly. Topics can be as basic as Excel or as specific as addressing high staff turnover. Reynosa’s industry is so diverse that there’s no single formula.”

Industrial forums as essential spaces for connection

Martínez McDonald also highlighted the strategic value of industrial events like INDEX Reynosa.

“These forums are crucial,” he said. “They allow everyone to update themselves and network—it’s rare for so many companies and industries to gather in one place. That’s why supporting these events is so important.”

Conclusion

The Instituto Internacional de Estudios Superiores (IIES) continues to play a strategic role in Reynosa’s industrial ecosystem, bridging academia and industry through tailored, high-impact training programs. Its participation in INDEX Reynosa Expo 2025 reaffirms the institution’s dedication to anticipating industrial needs, promoting professional development, and enhancing the region’s reputation as a hub of qualified, ready-to-grow talent.
