Investments are coming to Aguascalientes

Thanks to different promotion efforts from state authorities, a good business climate and economic growth, three companies are already managing their settlement in the State.

The secretary of Economic Development (SEDEC, by its Spanish initials) anticipated that the companies are processing the required permits to build, lease or buy their property lands and industrial buildings in the entity, this as part of the negotiations treated at the different promotion forums that have been fulfilled by Europe and Asia.

The head of SEDEC assured that companies have requested to be under a low profile to no generate speculation about this, however, he assures that their openings will be announced by the end of the year.

Martinez, anticipated that one of the companies has reported an advance of 30 % in the construction of its industrial building and tentatively will be starting operations in October this year.

The Secretary, added that another company is managing the buying and selling of a property land where it will settle and the third one, is processing the required permits to start its construction and operation before the Federal Attorney’s Office for Environmental Protection (PROFEPA, by its Spanish initials) such management last about 6 months in being concluded.

Ricardo Martinez assured that the joint investment of these three companies is of about 100 million dollars, which will generate about 1,000 added value jobs, specifically for engineering. 

Likewise, he said that within the next months two important expansions will be announced, he said: “Due to corporate practice these expansions were going to be done in other States, but they have decided to grow in Aguascalientes.”

On the other hand, the secretary said that they are currently in negotiations to convince another two companies in stalling in the entity, which are expected to be officially announced in a couple of months.
