Hyundai Announces "New Horizons Studio" to Develop Maximum Mobility Vehicles

Hyundai Motor Group announced a new unit focused on the development of Ultimate Mobility Vehicles (UMVs).
New Horizons Studio envisions building vehicles with unprecedented mobility. The units will be focused on customers who need to travel in unconventional and off-road terrain, including places where they have never circulated before.
This development is led by Vice President Dr. John Suh, who has held various leadership positions at Hyundai Motor Group since 2011. He served as Founding Director of Hyundai Ventures and led Hyundai CRADLE (Center for Augmented Robotic Design in Life Experiences) as its founding director based in Silicon Valley.
"Our goal is to create the world's first transformative-class vehicle, also known as the Vehicle of Maximum Mobility," he noted.
The new unit furthers Hyundai's vision of shaping the future of mobility , forward-thinking and innovative leadership aboard Silicon Valley and other centers of innovation.
Unveiled at CES 2019 , Hyundai Elevate is the inaugural vehicle concept now being developed by New Horizons Studio . The car is not solely reliant on wheels and is expected to tackle challenging driving situations, with the combination of robotics and wheeled locomotion technology , so with these developments, the brand will redefine vehicular mobility.
