The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC) of Texas and the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment, and Technology (COMCE) marks a milestone in cooperation between economic development organizations from both countries, stated Victor Perez, President and CEO of Pharr EDC.
“We have discussed several projects in which we can collaborate, and this is the first step to support our members and entrepreneurs in their development and expansion plans,” he said.
This agreement establishes the foundation for a partnership that will facilitate binational investment and collaboration between public and private sectors in both nations, with the vision of creating a solid and enduring economic ecosystem.
Through the MoU, the aim is to strengthen economic development and investment opportunities across various sectors, from retail to large-scale commercial projects.
Perez added that COMCE will be a resource for companies interested in investing in Mexico to help streamline their processes.
“If there are investors interested in Mexico, we will reach out to COMCE to provide support, and vice versa. This agreement establishes a commitment to continuous cooperation and communication to support the members of both organizations,” he commented.

In this way, Pharr EDC reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining active collaboration with COMCE and other organizations with which it has signed agreements, with the goal of strengthening the economic and trade relationship between Mexico and the United States over the long term.
“Signing this agreement is just the beginning; we will continue supporting each other so that our organizations and their members can prosper together,” concluded Perez.
