Harlingen, Texas: Land Ready for Investment and Real Estate Development

The city of Harlingen, Texas, hosted real estate agents and brokers from the Rio Grande Valley, who gathered with representatives from the Harlingen Economic Development Corporation (Harlingen EDC) to explore opportunities for industrial and residential real estate development.

During the event, Orlando Campos, CEO of Harlingen EDC, joined by Beverly Loftus, Director of Operations, and Jane Lozano, Manager of Business Retention and Expansion, highlighted the city’s competitive advantages and the projects aimed at solidifying its economic growth.

Key advantages discussed included Harlingen's strong logistical connectivity and the immediate availability of land for development projects. Additional assets emphasized were the local skilled workforce, the presence of universities and educational centers, access to quality healthcare, and an excellent quality of life.

Mayor Norma Sepulveda also participated, reaffirming the local government’s commitment to the productive sector. Her involvement underscored the importance of strengthening ties between government and businesses to generate new opportunities and promote regional development.

The event provided attendees with key networking opportunities and up-to-date information on Harlingen’s initiatives. These gatherings are part of strategic efforts to position the city as an attractive destination for real estate investment and sustainable economic growth within the Rio Grande Valley.
