Guanajuato strengthens commercial ties in Houston

In an effort to reinforce commercial relationships and consolidate bilateral business in key sectors such as aerospace, energy, tourism, and automotive, Libia Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, Governor of Guanajuato, and Claudia Cristina Villaseñor, Head of the Ministry of Economy, conducted a business trip to Houston, Texas, in the United States.

As part of this visit, the officials met with the Mexican Business Chamber (COME), where they highlighted the state's economic strength, its training and educational ecosystem, and invited business owners to invest in Guanajuato.

Business Opportunities with the Aerospace Sector

Villaseñor Aguilar visited the Houston Spaceport, a hub for aerospace innovation located at Ellington Airport, home to global leaders such as Axiom Space, Intuitive Machines, and Collins Aerospace.

During the meeting, a collaboration proposal was presented, focused on the development of specialized human capital, with the aim of training young people from Guanajuato in key skills to enhance their employability within the aerospace industry.

Additionally, an agreement was made to explore collaboration mechanisms with the companies established at the Spaceport, with the goal of identifying specialized supply opportunities and integrating Guanajuato-based companies into global supply chains.
