Energy efficiency, a key element for the development of the pharmaceutical industry

With the intention of making efficient use of energy, Neolpharma Group began the process of implementing equipment that will allow it to obtain the highest quality electrical and thermal energy services for the production of medicines.
These developments will benefit you with higher quality production processes and ensuring care for the environment. And to carry out this project, the pharmaceutical company made the decision to ally with Veolus , a leading company in the energy sector, who will carry out the project.
With this implementation, which has a term of 18 months, 8,000 Clean Energy Certificates will be generated per year in the operations of 4 of its plants, focused on manufacturing and pharmaceutical technology.
Through this plan, they will avoid emissions of carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere, which is equivalent to the burning of 72,471 tons ; the saving of 54 million liters of Diesel , the electricity consumed by 24,549 households during a year and, what it would absorb is the planting of 2.4 million trees in a period of 10 years.
Grupo Neolpharma will make an investment of more than 9 million dollars in the acquisition of equipment that will be installed and commissioned by Veolus .
In the construction phase, more than 250 indirect jobs will be generated , and for the operation and maintenance phase , more than 70 jobs will be created .
