The Edinburg EDC supports a new water tower project to boost infrastructure capacity, improve water services, and strengthen Edinburg’s position for industrial and residential growth.
The City of Edinburg recently inaugurated a new 1-million-gallon water tower in North Edinburg, reinforcing its commitment to building the infrastructure needed to support rapid population growth and increased economic activity. This investment enhances water pressure and service reliability for homes, businesses, and emergency services throughout the area.
The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EDC) contributed $2.1 million to the more than $5 million total project cost, emphasizing its strategic focus on foundational improvements that directly support long-term development and competitiveness.
Infrastructure That Supports Growth
As one of the fastest-growing cities in South Texas, Edinburg continues to invest in essential services to attract new businesses and accommodate existing ones. Water availability is critical for industries such as logistics, advanced manufacturing, and commercial development. This new tower expands the city’s capacity to meet current demand while preparing for future industrial projects.
A Competitive Business Environment
Located at a key intersection of regional trade and transportation networks, Edinburg offers strong logistics connectivity, a skilled labor pool, and increasing infrastructure capacity. Projects like this water tower demonstrate how the city is actively preparing to welcome larger business operations and maintain reliable services for residents and employers alike.
