The Council for the Economic Progress of Rio South Texas (COSTEP) will be present at the SelectUSA México conference, where it will showcase all the competitive advantages that the Rio South Texas Region offers to the manufacturing industry. This aligns with its commitment to fostering industrial development through promotion and the attraction of new businesses.

With its strategic location, a young and highly skilled workforce, and sustained population and economic growth, the region stands out as the ideal destination for new businesses. Additionally, its connectivity through international bridges, ports, and railways facilitates the import and export of goods on both sides of the border.

The Rio South Texas Region features six commercial international bridges, two ports, and 50 industrial parks, providing a favorable environment for the establishment, operation, and logistics of manufacturing companies.

“There are many opportunities, and that is what we must promote as a region—connecting with businesses, showing them how things can be done, leveraging the young workforce we have here, our educational systems, our strategic location, and the 50 years of experience we have had with maquiladoras on the Mexican side. This is essential for attracting new companies,” stated Adam González, CEO of COSTEP.

The SelectUSA México Conference will take place for the second consecutive year on February 25–26 at the Hilton Hotel in Mexico City. Various U.S. economic development organizations will participate, presenting the competitive advantages that the United States offers to industries.

COSTEP focuses on unifying and promoting the Rio South Texas Region collectively, highlighting the benefits the region offers on both sides of the border. This effort aims to strengthen infrastructure and open doors for new industries, ultimately contributing to the social and economic development of families.
