The Camargo Customs Office in Tamaulipas continues to establish itself as a key hub for trade exchange. In 2024, it recorded a total of 76,441 operations.

The Starr Camargo Bridge has a capacity to process up to 800 trucks daily. Throughout 2024, the primary goods processed at this border crossing included metals, stone, glass, and vegetables, accounting for 71% of total trade value.

From January to December 2024, according to the National Customs Agency of Mexico (ANAM), customs operations at the country’s border crossings increased by 1.4% year-over-year, reaching 14,778,306 operations. This growth reflects the dynamism of international trade and rising commercial activity.

The increase in customs operations is the result of various strategies aimed at streamlining import and export processes, as well as strengthening infrastructure at key entry and exit points.
