The scope of the contract, -the first one obtained by the company to produce the units in its plant in Huehuetoca, State of Mexico- , for export purposes, consists of the manufacture of the trains , the static tests in the plant and the transport of these to warehouses in Manila .
"The good cost-benefit ratio of the national workforce and the experience in manufacturing place the country as an export platform for trains made entirely by Mexicans and the fulfillment of this tender for the Manila metro is an example of this" Zurita added.
The trains will be of the LRV type (4th generation), with a length of 106 meters and can reach a speed of up to 70 km per hour. It should be noted that LRT Line 1 is an elevated Metro Line that is 20 kilometers long and runs from North to South, through the City of Manila in the Philippines.
