BIC invests 70 million dollars in Coahuila to triple its production capacity

Mario Berra, BIC 's vice president of global manufacturing , singled out Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila, as one of the epicenters for industrial development because of the role it plays in the company's supply chain.
Within the framework of the unveiling of the plaque made by the company of French origin to announce an expansion of its operations, the manager highlighted the global leadership of the brand in more than 70 years.
He stressed that in Mexico they have found great support for their operations, since in Mexico City they have a plant with more than 50 years of activities and in Coahuila they opted for growth to serve the United States market.
He announced that with this project more than 70 million dollars will be invested upon completion; however, he stressed that by the end of 2023 they will reach 30 million dollars.
“I want to tell the authorities present that we are grateful for their support in the efforts to carry out said agreement; likewise, we want to tell them that they have BIC to boost the growth of the region”, he said.
On the other hand, Mario Berra shared that the plant has sustainable processes for the protection of the planet, for which they envision that in 2025 they can count on their plastic packaging being reusable and that all their operations in the world are with 100 energy. % renewable.
Finally, the company's representative indicated that the United States is its main customer, so this investment project will be to export its products to the neighboring country.
He highlighted that they will be manufacturing the 5-blade razor , which is already being marketed in that place and now they will also be doing so in the national market, thus, they will be able to triple their current production level, which is 400 million units a year , to reach at 1,200 units.
"Today we have a stationery market and a wide variety of products for daily use, so we want to reaffirm our statement that BIC does not know how to fail," concluded the manager.
