API and CMIC synergy for investment projects

During a working meeting with representatives of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) -directed by Gerardo Olguín in the southern zone of Tamaulipas-, Manuel Latapí Díaz, general director of the Integral Port Administration (API), gave Know the next public investment projects that are contemplated for the period 2020-2025.

Latapí said that the development of the port must take place in coordination with its users and main actors that day by day operate in it. In addition, the director of the API highlighted the importance of the approach of this entity with the different business groups and civil associations to present the course of the actions that this administration is developing for the benefit of the port, and which generate the creation of new jobs and An important economic spill in the area.

PROJECTS

Among the projects - mentioned the port official - the dredging of deepening of the navigation channels, the repair and commissioning of the “Broken Bridge”, the construction of a new dock called API III, the protection works in the coastal coast, among other topics of interest to the members of this chamber.

Gerardo Olguín mentioned that the port of Altamira is an important piece in the construction sector, thanks to the constant infrastructure that develops in it and which directly impacts hundreds of workers and businessmen in the area and, consequently, to the economy of the region.

In general, the representatives of the CMIC showed interest in participating in the projects that are driven by the API, showing the commitment to keep an eye on the upcoming tenders of these works and ready to cover the aspects of quality, environmental impact and security.

The CMIC is responsible for representing, supporting, advising and strengthening the construction companies in the region so that they are prepared for construction projects, carried out mainly in the southern area of ​​Tamaulipas.
