Amazon opens the largest Distribution Center in Mexico and LA

Due to its geographic position in the central area of
the country, wide infrastructure in communication matters and its qualified
workforce, the Estado de Mexico characterizes as a competitive
entity. Therefore, Amazon opened its Distribution Center MEX 3 de
Servicios Mexico there.
This new center located in Tepotzotlan is the largest
in Mexico and Latin America has more than 100 thousand square meters,
equivalent to 18 soccer fields. With this new investment, the company will
reach 3,500 jobs generated in Estado de Mexico.
Luis Correa Curiel, chief operating officer in Amazon
Mexico, said that investment is of 125 million dollars is allocated, in the
four distribution centers present in Estado de Mexico.
“In addition of this opening, in Amazon we are committed
with the Estado de Mexico and with Tepotzotlan, and that is why we are donating
one million pesos to students in the State, to encourage their future, these
resources will serve to improve students’ formation who in the upcoming years
they will contribute the company with their talent.”
Amazon has gained global incomes for more than 233
billion dollars and assets valued in 163 billion dollars, employing more than
647 thousand people worldwide and currently has about 300 million customers.
