The Governor of Aguascalientes, Tere Jiménez, and Arizona authorities held a meeting to discuss topics related to trade and collaboration in high-tech and development sectors, such as semiconductors, aerospace, and medical technologies.

The purpose of this meeting was to promote and intensify mutual cooperation in key areas of economic, industrial, and academic development.

The topics discussed during the session were areas in which Arizona has stood out as a global leader.

“We are convinced that cooperation with Arizona, a state that is a benchmark in the field of technology and innovation, will be crucial in strengthening our economy and continuing the development of key sectors like aerospace and the medical industry,” emphasized Tere Jiménez.

Student Exchange

Another key reason for the meeting was to explore new economic collaboration opportunities that benefit both Aguascalientes and Arizona, establishing stronger ties in key sectors for the economic development of both regions, as well as student exchange programs.

The meeting was attended by Heath Vescovi-Chiordi, Director of Economic Development for Pima County; Susan Dumon, Vice President of Sun Corridor; Justin Dutram, Associate Vice President of the University of Arizona for Mexico and Latin America; Matt Heinz, Supervisor of District 2; Irma Patricia Muñoz de León, President of the Business Coordinating Council of Aguascalientes; Esaú Garza de Vega, Secretary of Economic Development, Science, and Technology for the State; and Luis Enrique Gutiérrez Reynoso, General Director of the Institute of Education of Aguascalientes, among other educational authorities.
