Unilever will make a millionaire investment to expand its plants in the State of Mexico

The multinational company Unilever will invest 5,500 million pesos , which will end in 2024, and aims to expand the production and export capacity in the plants located in Tultitlán and Lerma.
The Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, announced that this investment contributes to the development of new products, improvements in infrastructure and equipment, training of technical personnel, greater capacity to export food and ice cream , as well as the acquisition of technology to optimize the use of water and energy .
This project will increase the capabilities of the company, which will also be able to develop healthier food formulas, in support of local producers, who will strengthen their distribution reach , taking advantage of the logistical advantages offered by the state.
The investment will also promote the development of more natural formulas , the consolidation of exports to the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and Central America, while generating 2,700 jobs for the people of Mexico .
The state president recognized Unilever 's decision to invest in its development and growth in the entity, endorsing the trust placed in the State of Mexico for 57 years.
Lourdes Castañeda Cañas, general director of Unilever Mexico , explained that the scope of this project will also promote care for the natural environment and join efforts to promote the use of renewable energy, the reduction and recycling of plastics, the responsible disposal of solid waste. , sustainability in its manufacturing processes, the rational use of water or the reduction of polluting emissions.
It should be noted that Unilever encourages and promotes the talent of women, by taking advantage of their intelligence and ability, and by trusting them to direct its operations in markets as diverse and complex as those of Latin America.
In addition to its leadership in the food sector, the organization participates in the chemical industry, a prominent sector in the Mexican industry, which represents 8.8% of the state economy, with 924 economic units and more than 32,000 jobs generated .
It has almost 150,000 employees and is present in 190 countries , where its food, hygiene and personal care products are consumed by more than 3.4 billion people daily and it has a distribution network made up of 25 million retailers .
More than 200 products of ice cream , mayonnaise and dressings of the brands are produced at the Tultitlán Plant , providing 812 direct jobs and 4,800 indirect jobs, while at the Lerma Plant it manufactures 250 products, including broths, soups and atoles , with 700 jobs. direct 4,200 indirect jobs.
