With the goal of preparing truck operators for new binational regulations, Trancasa, a leader in international transportation, announced its collaboration with South Texas College to offer English courses for Mexican drivers.
Carlos Canales, CEO of Trancasa, explained that the initiative seeks to ensure operators comply with the recent requirements of the U.S. government, which demand English proficiency for those engaged in cross-border trips.
“Now, operators traveling from Mexico to the United States must speak English. Not all of them do, and those who can often only reach 40 or 50 percent comprehension. That is why we created this partnership with South Texas College to deliver English courses in the Reynosa and Río Bravo area, aimed at both new operators and those with years of experience,” said Canales.
The program will be delivered through the Freight Transport Training Center (CTC), where participants will receive training to drive tractor-trailers, learn U.S. traffic regulations, and improve their English language skills.
With this initiative, Trancasa reinforces its commitment to innovation and training, ensuring its operators are prepared for the demands of international transportation while contributing to the professional development of the regional industry.
“We always strive to stay at the forefront, not only in technology and safety, but also by adapting to new regulations and preparing our team for the challenges of the business,” Canales concluded.
It should be noted that the company already provides internal English courses to its operators; however, these new courses will be open to other companies as well as to new operators in training.
