Terracon expanded its operations in Pharr to support continued growth in the Rio Grande Valley, a move that reflects rising demand for engineering, environmental, facilities, and materials testing services in the region.

The national consulting engineering firm, which has operated from its Mid-Cities Drive location since 1996, now runs its Pharr operations across two nearby offices. The original location will remain focused on geotechnical engineering and materials testing, while environmental, facilities, marketing, and operations teams have moved to a new office on Polk Street.

A broader service platform in Pharr

The expansion allows Terracon to organize its specialized service lines more efficiently while maintaining coordination between teams located only minutes apart. This structure is designed to support current client demand while creating room for future growth.

For Pharr and the broader Rio Grande Valley, Terracon’s expanded presence adds technical capacity in disciplines closely tied to industrial development, construction, infrastructure, and site readiness. These services are increasingly relevant as the region continues attracting projects that require reliable engineering support and environmental expertise.

Technical expertise supporting regional development

The company’s growth also reflects the strength of its local team. Jorge A. Flores, P.G., Pharr Operations Manager, noted that the expansion is tied to client trust and the continued development of Terracon’s Pharr operation.

Terracon is an employee-owned, multidiscipline consulting firm with more than 8,000 employees across over 200 locations nationwide. Its expanded footprint in Pharr reinforces the city’s role as a growing business and service hub within South Texas.
