Beatriz Castro, International Legal Officer at Starr-Camargo Bridge Company, highlighted the significance of the RioPlex brand during a presentation to the Binational Council for Economic Development of Reynosa (Cobifer). RioPlex aims to internationally project the binational region encompassing the Rio Grande Valley in Texas and northern Tamaulipas. This initiative is set to be crucial in strengthening economic development and commercial infrastructure in the area.

Castro emphasized the need for rapid access routes for cargo transportation and underscored the competitive advantages of the Starr-Camargo International Bridge. This bridge features two lanes dedicated to commerce and is authorized for the crossing of double-trailer or overweight units. "It is crucial to project ourselves internationally as a unique and competitive region, offering international bridges with appropriate infrastructure and growth aligned with the needs of businesses. The Starr-Camargo International Bridge is an excellent option for transporters needing to move goods between Mexico and the United States," stated Castro.

Derly Rivas, the commercial development manager of Starr-Camargo Bridge Company in Mexico, also participated in the Cobifer meeting. "Mutual collaboration is essential to maximize the economic and infrastructure benefits that the RioPlex brand aims to provide to the binational region," added Castro during her dialogue with representatives and leaders from associations, businesses, chambers of commerce, and developers.

Additionally, Castro announced ongoing efforts to expand the bridge to include 14 lanes for the circulation of commercial units, aiming to improve service for logistics and transportation companies. This expansion, to be carried out in two phases, is part of continuous efforts to meet the growing demands of international trade and enhance the competitiveness of the binational region.

The Starr-Camargo International Bridge, strategically connecting the cities of Camargo, Tamaulipas, and Rio Grande, Texas, is considered a key component in the economic development of RioPlex.
