Pharr, Weslaco, and Edinburg brought a strong Rio South Texas Region presence to ICSC Las Vegas 2026, the world’s largest commercial real estate event, held May 18–20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The event gathered more than 25,000 decision-makers for three days of dealmaking, networking, and industry content focused on retail, marketplaces, and commercial real estate.

Together, the three cities presented the region’s growing appeal for retailers, developers, brokers, and investors evaluating expansion opportunities in South Texas. While each community promoted its own assets, their participation also reflected the broader strength of the Rio South Texas Region as a market shaped by population growth, cross-border commerce, and rising commercial activity.

Pharr highlights connectivity and retail momentum

Pharr EDC used the event to meet with retailers, brokers, investors, and developers interested in new growth opportunities. The city’s message centered on its connectivity, economic momentum, and capacity to support retail and commercial investment.

For Pharr, ICSC represented a platform to build relationships that can translate into new projects while reinforcing its position as a strong retail destination in South Texas.

Edinburg brings city leadership to the national stage

Edinburg EDC attended ICSC alongside the Edinburg Chamber of Commerce, Mayor Omar Ochoa, the Edinburg City Council, and other local representatives, creating a coordinated presence focused on commercial growth and investment attraction.

The team held meetings with developers, retailers, brokers, and industry partners, using the event to present Edinburg’s growth, market potential, and long-term vision to national real estate decision-makers.

Weslaco promotes new commercial opportunities

Weslaco EDC also represented the region at ICSC Las Vegas, connecting with retailers, developers, brokers, and industry leaders to promote the city’s development potential.

Its participation positioned Weslaco as part of the Rio Grande Valley’s expanding retail and commercial real estate landscape, with a focus on attracting new investment and creating future opportunities for the community.
