The Port of Brownsville welcomed participants of the RGV Leadership program, organized by the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, with the objective of bringing future leaders closer to South Texas’ industrial and economic development.
During the session held on May 8, attendees participated in a presentation and guided tour of the port facilities, where they learned firsthand about the projects and investments driving the region’s growth.
An expanding ecosystem
The program included presentations from representatives of the Greater Brownsville Incentives Corporation, as well as key companies such as NextDecade, responsible for the Rio Grande LNG project, and Bechtel.
The presentations allowed participants to learn about the impact of these projects on sectors such as energy, infrastructure, construction and logistics, as well as their contribution to job creation and the strengthening of regional competitiveness.
Port of Brownsville, a driver of binational development
Thanks to its strategic location on the Mexico-United States border, the Port of Brownsville has become a key point for trade, manufacturing and the energy industry.
The combination of port infrastructure, private investment and large-scale projects consolidates this region as one of the most dynamic growth hubs in South Texas and a relevant partner for North American supply chains.
