Port Laredo Drives New Opportunities for the Agricultural Industry and Cold Chain Logistics in Orlando
October 16, 2026
Port Laredo aims to attract new cargo flows, investments in cold chain infrastructure, and opportunities for agricultural product distribution between Mexico and the United States through its participation in the Global Produce & Floral Show 2026, where it is promoting Laredo's logistics advantages and potential for commercial expansion.
Under the “Hot City, Cold Chain” initiative, the delegation is highlighting Laredo's competitive advantages, including its international connectivity, logistics infrastructure, and opportunities to expand refrigerated storage and perishable goods distribution.
During the exhibition, Port Laredo representatives met with growers, exporters, distributors, and transportation and logistics companies to explore new trade routes and investment opportunities, including the growth potential of the floral industry.
“Laredo is one of the main engines of trade between Mexico and the United States, but we know there is still enormous potential for growth. We are here to connect with the companies that drive the agricultural industry, understand their needs, and demonstrate why Port Laredo should be part of their supply chains. We are not here simply to promote what we are, but to build what we can become,” said Felipe Romero, Director of Communications and Marketing for the City of Laredo.
The delegation's participation is part of the City of Laredo's economic development efforts to attract new business opportunities, strengthen regional competitiveness, and consolidate its position as one of North America's leading logistics hubs.
