The Pharr Economic Development Corporation (Pharr EDC) successfully hosted the Industrial Warehouse Summit (IWS), a specialized forum that brought together business leaders, developers, financial institutions, and local authorities to analyze investment and industrial growth opportunities in the South Texas Valley.

Held at the Pharr Research & Development Center, the event aimed to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors and promote new investments in infrastructure, energy, and technology, consolidating Pharr as a strategic hub for binational trade.

During his address, Victor Pérez, President and CEO of Pharr EDC, emphasized that the city continues to experience steady expansion driven by the interest of companies from both Mexico and the United States.

“We have a lot of growth projected for the city of Pharr. There are many companies interested in coming to invest in Pharr and want to know what is needed, what land is available — not only from the U.S. but also from Mexico,” he stated.

Throughout the program, specialists discussed key topics such as business opportunities, available land, investment incentives, clean energy programs, industrial efficiency, construction financing, permitting processes, and urban development.

Among the featured speakers were Lilvette Santos, Director of Business Development at Pharr EDC; Luis Bazán, Director of the Pharr International Bridge; Rubén Alfaro, representative of HCRMA; Dub Taylor, Chief Operations Officer at Texas PACE Authority; as well as representatives from IBC Bank and Magic Valley Electric Cooperative.

Jaboney Rodríguez, Vice President of Brokerage Services at FORUM CRE, highlighted the relevance of the event, noting that such forums demonstrate Pharr’s full potential for investors and manufacturers.

“The importance of this event lies in showcasing everything that is being developed in Pharr, along with the expansion of the international bridge, which will drive even greater growth and prosperity for the city, as well as major opportunities for manufacturers and logistics companies entering the market,” he said.

Meanwhile, Carlos Telles, First Vice President of CBRE in the South Texas Valley, emphasized that the Industrial Warehouse Summit reflects the collective commitment of various sectors to strengthen regional industrial development.

“Events like this, which bring together banks, customs brokers, insurers, and government officials, demonstrate that the community is working together to enhance industrial growth and build investor confidence,” he added.

The Industrial Warehouse Summit 2025 reaffirms Pharr’s leadership as an industrial and logistics development hub along the South Texas border, strengthening regional collaboration and attracting new companies that foster employment, innovation, and economic growth.
