The Pharr Economic Development Corporation marked a new phase in the city’s industrial growth with the inauguration of a manufacturing facility operated by MasterBrand.

The grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony reflect ongoing efforts to attract established manufacturers to South Texas while expanding the city’s industrial base. The project adds operational capacity in a market that continues to gain relevance for companies seeking proximity to U.S.-Mexico trade flows and efficient distribution channels.

A manufacturing addition with regional impact

MasterBrand’s arrival introduces a large-scale operator with an extensive national footprint. The company maintains a network of more than 7,900 dealers and operates with a workforce exceeding 12,500 employees across more than 20 manufacturing facilities and offices.

Its presence in Pharr strengthens the city’s position within manufacturing and distribution networks, particularly for companies that rely on integrated supply chains and access to both U.S. and Mexican markets. The addition of this facility supports not only production capacity but also the broader ecosystem of suppliers, logistics providers, and service companies operating in the region.

For Pharr, projects of this scale contribute directly to job creation and reinforce the city’s appeal as a destination for companies seeking operational efficiency and market access.

An strategy centered on long-term industrial growth

The project also reflects the strategic direction led by Victor Perez, President and CEO of Pharr EDC, whose team continues to focus on partnerships that align with the city’s economic development priorities. Attracting companies with established operational standards and long-term growth strategies remains central to that approach.

MasterBrand’s emphasis on operational efficiency, environmental responsibility, and corporate governance aligns with Pharr’s broader vision of sustainable and structured industrial expansion. This alignment is increasingly relevant as companies evaluate not only cost and location, but also the long-term viability and standards of the markets in which they operate.

With this new facility, Pharr continues to build a business environment capable of supporting both manufacturing activity and future investment, reinforcing its role as a competitive industrial hub in South Texas.
