The city of Pharr witnessed the launch of a new project that symbolizes growth, opportunity, and the confidence that multinational companies place in the region to expand their operations.

Anavale Produce Corp, a company with over 15 years of experience exporting fresh agricultural products from Mexico to the United States, is building a new 38,000-square-foot cold storage facility. Operating under the From México Fresh brand, this facility will enhance the logistics and commercialization of perishable goods with cutting-edge technology and infrastructure designed to store up to 2,000 pallets, with six distinct temperature zones.

“This is something we’ll be able to share with other exporters. We are integrating all the necessary services to export products from Mexico to the U.S., from the moment the product is harvested to its final delivery. From México Fresh will handle this entire process with a strong focus on technology,” said Héctor García, partner of the brand and General Manager of Anavale Produce Corp.

The facility will include advanced power backup systems to maintain the cold chain even during electrical outages, ensuring product quality. Hugo Martínez Sánchez, CEO of Member Construction—the firm in charge of the project—explained that the investment totals $12 million.

“The products stored in these warehouses are highly valuable, so it’s essential to design facilities capable of keeping operations and refrigeration systems running at all times,” Martínez noted.

During the groundbreaking ceremony, Víctor Pérez, CEO of the Pharr Economic Development Corporation, thanked the investors and developers for continuing to bet on Pharr as a strategic hub for regional economic growth.

“We’re celebrating more jobs, more investment, and more companies choosing Pharr. Thank you for your trust. We’re here for you—not just today, but whenever you need us,” Pérez said.

The new facility will be located at 10701 S Palm, just steps from the Pharr International Bridge, and is expected to be completed during the first quarter of 2026.
