With a vision focused on strengthening the linkage between the export manufacturing sector and logistics services, ONILOG Group reaffirms its commitment to the industrial and economic development of the border region, highlighted its CEO, Guillermo Fernández de Jáuregui, during the participation in the Index Nuevo Laredo Forum 2025.

“We have been promoting this type of forum for some time; our participation with Index Nuevo Laredo goes back to its beginnings, and it is very important to strengthen linkage and knowledge within the industrial sector in our region,” said Fernández de Jáuregui, emphasizing that the company maintains a permanent commitment to the growth of Nuevo Laredo and the creation of value in the local and regional supply chain.

Logistics–manufacturing linkage in Nuevo Laredo

The executive highlighted that one of the main challenges for the logistics and industrial sector is maintaining regulatory compliance amid increasing regulations while strengthening human capital development.

“There is more technology and more competition every day; that is why we must invest in the training of our collaborators; they are the ones who truly generate value within the organization,” he noted.

Regarding the city’s strategic position, Fernández de Jáuregui reiterated that Nuevo Laredo is the customs capital of North America, representing a competitive advantage for companies seeking to optimize their cross-border operations.

“From Mexico, value can be added to international logistics and the effectiveness of supply chains can be enhanced,” he explained.

Preparation for the USMCA review in 2026

Regarding the opportunities in the current context, the CEO of ONILOG invited companies to take advantage of the moment to innovate, invest in technology, and prepare for the growth expected in 2026, the year in which the USMCA will be reviewed.

“We are in an ideal stage to strengthen processes, invest in human development, and be ready to offer integral distribution, alliance, or production solutions according to the needs of our clients,” he stated.

Finally, Fernández de Jáuregui emphasized that ONILOG’s philosophy is based on being a strategic ally rather than just a provider, aiming to generate value in the supply chain where companies need it most. The organization adapts to the specific needs of each client through the positive impact generated by ongoing employee training and development.
