During the Fizz The Season event, Elizabeth Suárez, CEO of the McAllen Chamber of Commerce and the McAllen Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), emphasized that the gathering symbolized the close of a year defined by transformation, institutional unity, and readiness for new investment in the city of McAllen.
Suárez explained that the celebration marked a strong close to 2025 following a year characterized by significant leadership transitions and organizational restructuring across the city’s economic development institutions.
“It has been a year of major change, beginning with new municipal leadership. When so many changes occur, difficult times are often expected, but today I can say my heart is full because our teams came together from the very beginning,” she said.
Institutional Unity as the Foundation for Growth
The CEO highlighted that the integration between the Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation has been a key factor in aligning strategies and focusing efforts to better serve the business community.
“We took advantage of the moment, joined forces, and today we celebrate a union that has been essential to organizing and directing the city’s development. We have an exceptional team.”
This level of coordination has allowed McAllen to strengthen a comprehensive service model for investors, entrepreneurs, and companies seeking to establish or expand operations in the region, reinforcing the city’s positioning as a competitive destination for business and economic growth.
