With the goal of strengthening compliance culture and preparation for transportation industry regulations, IS Compliance LLC held a new edition of its quarterly training program for companies in the South Texas Valley, focused on internal audits by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
The event, held at the Pharr Global Business Hub, brought together between 25 and 30 companies from the region for a session focused on reinforcing internal processes and staying updated amid constant changes in regulatory policies.
Jaime García, Coordinator at the company, explained that these training sessions are part of an ongoing strategy to support both clients and new companies interested in improving regulatory compliance.
“It is an event we hold quarterly. We invite our clients as an added value, but we also open spaces for Valley companies that want to learn about our services and train their personnel,” he said.
During this session, the main focus was the development of internal audits, a key element to ensure compliance in transportation companies, where multiple areas are involved, including human resources, safety, and operations.
García noted that one of the main challenges is the constant updating of regulations by the DOT, which requires companies to maintain well-structured processes aligned with regulatory changes.
“Each industry has its own challenges, but in transportation, it is essential for all areas to stay updated, since regulations are constantly changing,” he explained.
In addition to training, IS Compliance LLC offers comprehensive services that include specialized consulting, random testing programs, pre-employment exams, and operational support for companies in the logistics and transportation sectors.
Participation in these events is free of charge and seeks to create an initial connection with companies interested in strengthening their compliance processes.
