During its monthly members’ meeting, INDEX Reynosa gave a space to The Council for South Texas Economic Progress, COSTEP, to present the Rio South Texas Region Binational Autocluster and its first strategic phase: the Rio South Texas Region Industrial DataSystem, a tool designed to position the region as a key hub for automotive industry development by leveraging the economic and logistical integration between northern Tamaulipas and South Texas.

Rick Carrera, Director of Economic Development at COSTEP, introduced the Rio South Texas Region Industrial DataSystem to business leaders. This digital platform will consolidate detailed information about manufacturing companies in the region, enabling the identification of key industrial sectors, mapping of manufacturing processes and distinctive products, and the generation of an accurate diagnosis of the local and regional manufacturing ecosystem.

Carrera explained that the system will provide reliable data to respond to investors interested in understanding what is produced in the region, thereby strengthening the strategic promotion of the binational area. He invited companies to join the database through the available form and emphasized that the active participation of all sectors will be critical to the success of this initiative.

INDEX Reynosa announced it will play an active role in the implementation of the tool, leading strategies to strengthen the binational manufacturing industry. The organization will collaborate with COSTEP to drive the collection of strategic information and coordinated promotion of the region, ensuring that local capabilities and competitive advantages gain greater visibility among national and international investors.

For his part, Alfredo Guajardo, President of INDEX Reynosa, recognized COSTEP’s efforts to strengthen the established industry and attract new investment, inviting member companies to join the platform.

The meeting also featured the participation of Humberto Martínez, President of INDEX Nacional; Adrián González, President of Global Alliance Solutions; as well as other business leaders from the region.
