Good investment perspectives for 2019

The team of developers and brokers of McAllen and Reynosa Industrial Parks, held their end of year meeting in which they agreed a good 2019 is anticipated regarding industrial market absorption.
At the meeting they shared information of expanding companies or those investments projected to arrive into the region; this allowed updating the market absorption report of 2018.
Industrial parks developers and brokers interacted and shared information regarding the projects different companies are fulfilling in Reynosa and Matamoros, as well as the industrial growth trend for the upcoming years.
Developers shared there are companies that seek renovating their leasing contracts to a long term for Reynosa, such is the case of SMP at the Maquilpark Park. Among the observed projects was also mentioned that a maquila company from Reynosa is willing to grow and expand its operation plant by leasing an industrial building according to their requirements.
Bryan Cook, said that they have a company that will be building about 300 thousand square feet which is interested on investing in Reynosa or Matamoros, given the advantages these cities provide such as their proximity with international crossings and railroad ways, among other advantages.
The meeting was attended by Samantha Almaguer, from NAI Mexico; Ralph Garcia, host and vice-president of McAllen Economic Development Corporation; Silvia De Leon, operations director of the Binational Council for the Economic Development of Reynosa (COBIFER, by its Spanish initials;) Carlos Angulo, from Fibra Mcguire; Aaron Cuadras Bojorquez, director of industry service from the Ministry of Economic Development from the Government of the State of Tamaulipas; Manuel Cantu, from Grupo Nuevo Santander; Bryan Cook, from Bryan Cook; Soraya Young, from Grupo Rio San Juan; Jorge Ortega, from JLL; Astrid Salazar, from ProMexico; Saul Munoz and Angel Zuniga Gonzalez, from FINSA.
Tamaulipas on sight of Chinese companies
Experts in industrial development said that an important number of Chinese companies has been seen arriving to see the region’s operations, what makes trying to promote with companies from that Asian country worthy, since, due to the commercial issue with the United States, the country that will be benefited the most is Mexico and advantage must be taken from this situation.

vice-president of the McAllen Economic Development Corporation, underlined that
they are currently working with three companies from China; two of them are
interested in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
Synergy between industrial Parks developers, brokers, Tamaulipas State Government authorities work together to promote the best of the State and bring better investment that generates good job sources and allows an economic development successful for the region with the different projects that are observed.
