The Edinburg Economic Development Corporation (EDC) hosted its traditional holiday reception, an annual gathering that reinforces the importance of collaboration among business leaders, developers, chambers of commerce, and public officials in driving the city’s economic growth.

The event brought together dozens of participants in an environment designed to encourage networking and the development of strategic partnerships. Attendees also enjoyed a culinary showcase that highlighted the diversity and talent of the region.

In an interview, Raudel Garza, Executive Director of Edinburg EDC, explained that the celebration serves as a way to recognize the individuals and organizations that actively contribute to the city’s economic development.

“This is our way of showing gratitude to everyone who works with us—our service providers, investors, companies, and business leaders who believe in Edinburg,” Garza said. “We want to thank them, share a moment together, enjoy good food, and celebrate the holiday season.”

Garza also emphasized the message of confidence and continuity that the EDC aims to convey to the business community.

“Edinburg will continue to grow; there are many opportunities ahead. All we ask is that companies do their research, get to know the city, and see how we can support them,” he noted.

He reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting new investments and incoming projects, stressing that Edinburg EDC remains ready to assist companies seeking to establish or expand operations in the city.

As part of the holiday reception, the event also recognized the commitment and leadership of the Edinburg EDC Board of Directors, whose ongoing support has been instrumental in positioning the city as an attractive destination for investment and job creation in South Texas.
